On a more personal note...

Thanks for stopping by and learning a little more about me. I think it's important to know and trust a person who is joining you on your health and well-being journey, so allow me to introduce myself.

I'm Stacy, I have two beautiful children that are my heart and soul, and I've lived in the Des Moines area since 2008. I moved here for a job with one of the area's major financial investment companies after leaving graduate school at the University of Iowa. I studied Psychology and Rehabilitation Counseling and wanted to work in mental health for as long as I can remember, but sometimes life happens differently than what we planned. I worked for 14 years at the same company and found a knack for training, coaching and developing people. But no matter what role I took or what work I did in corporate America, I never felt like I was living my true life's mission.

Fast forward to a global pandemic that forced me to slow down and think about my life and the direction it was going and wonder if I was still okay with it. This was also a time of deep personal turmoil that gave me the rude but spiritual awakening I needed to get back on the path of my purpose. I realized I needed to live better for my kids and for myself. I began a sober lifestyle and decided to pursue my passions.

I always knew I wanted to help people dealing with mental health diagnoses or trauma, and I've loved and practiced yoga since I was a teenager, but until I started my own yoga teacher training, I didn't know how beautifully those could fit together. During my yoga journey, I found a way to practice that was life-changing for me, and I knew then, I wanted to share it with the world.
